In July 2006, Peter Twigg, Partner at Langley Twigg, was appointed to the Board of Rowing New Zealand, the decision-making body for the sport at the national level. Peter's active involvement in rowing started at school, and was reignited when his son Jamie first joined Hawke's Bay Rowing Club in 2000. Shortly afterwards he was joined there by his sister Emma, and both are now New Zealand representatives. In 2005, Emma became Junior World Champion at single sculls, leading to her being voted Hawke's Bay Young Sportsperson of the Year.
